Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.

Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the desired credential level.

Coaches EMPOWER clients to think differently, INSPIRE clients to explore innovative approaches, and help clients to ACTIVATE behavior for optimal performance.   

The 3D Authentic Coaching Presence™ is designed for mentoring coaches looking to deepen their understanding of the core competencies, strengthen coaching skills, and wanting to define their authentic coaching presence. During your private mentoring engagement, you will:

    • DEFINE your authentic coaching style

    • DISCOVER your unique coaching talents

    • DECIDE how to activate your coaching presence

Your customized individual mentor coaching engagement includes: 

  • Our first session will begin with assessing a baseline of your coaching competency level. Together, we’ll review the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, and highlight key areas of your coaching strengths and focus for development.

  • During sessions #2-#10, we will reflect on your learnings and discoveries from a previous coaching session, review one of your recorded coaching sessions, and discuss one or more ICF Core Competencies to increase your coaching skills and confidence. Sessions may also involve demonstrations, role-playing, and live practice of specific coaching skills. 

  • During each session, you will receive a full evaluation with examples of coaching behaviors observed or missed opportunities aligned to ICF coaching competencies.

  • Throughout your mentor coaching engagement, you will learn how to follow a proven process to review and assess your coaching skills. Together we develop and enhance your authentic coaching style with specific plans focused to increase your coaching skills on all ICF competencies.

  • Upon completion of your mentor coaching experience, you will receive a certificate of 10 mentor hours to submit for your ICF credential application
